Everyone Loves a Dog Parade: Scranton Library is hosting “Parade of Pooches”

This is the fifth year for this really fun event. Natural Dog Foods CT’s pooches go every year. Bring your pet and celebrate the Dog Days of Summer with a fun morning of contests and prizes for such features as longest and shortest ears, longest and shortest tails, biggest and smallest paws, tallest dog and shortest dog, oldest and youngest dog. There will also be prizes for the best dog costume, best dog trick, and a contest entitled “My dog and I look most alike because…”    There will be prizes given within each breed plus best in show prizes.

Two years ago we started dressing up for the costume competition and won as “The Three Amigos” and “The Three Musketeers”. This year we are going as Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow. My friend Judith is bringing Milo who will play the part of Toto!
